Let us take our text from John 16:7. it says, Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Holy Spirit) will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. That was Jesus speaking.

Many people would say they wanted to walk in the times of Jesus but the truth of it is that we live in the greatest days. We live in the dispensation of the Holy Spirit. He walks with us, He talks with us, He guides us etc.

If we don't understand that the Holy Spirit is a being and we think He is just a figment of our imagination or mystical ghost, then who He is will never have the fullness of manifestation in our lives.

Jesus Himself says it is expedient (important, crucial), it's for your profit that I go so that I can send Him. He said, “I can't be with you always.” Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

The Holy Spirit coming upon us means we die to flesh. It means that we are going to die daily to ourselves so we can live by Him. Now, being the witnesses Jesus talked about in Jerusalem means our family, that's our innermost circle, and in all Judea, Samaria and unto the uttermost parts of the world. This means we carry great power inside of us to extend to our family and beyond to make them experience Christ.

Every member of our families has the opportunity to get saved because of the power we carry. God wants to use us while walking down the street that there are going to be people that will be healed. They are going to be saved, they are going to be delivered. We are going to be witnesses…

Genesis chapter 1, where the Spirit of God moved, (remember when the earth was without form and void, it was lying in waste), clearly describe what we go through in our lives atimes. We can have one thing working in our lives and something else not working. Our relationship can be great but we might be lacking financially. The truth is God doesn't want us just functioning only in one area, He wants our spirit, soul and body to be completely functioning in every area. So if there is something that is broken, or lies in waste, then our purpose on the earth is not being maximized.

Verse 3 of Genesis chapter 1 says, the Spirit of God moved and then He spoke. The problem with many teachings today is they teach us how to speak, but they don't teach us how to move with the Spirit of God. There are a lot of people that are frustrated with their faith because they're calling things and they're speaking, but they are not moving with the Spirit.

We need to have a relationship that is intimately connected with the Holy Spirit. God made sure that He didn’t say a word until the Spirit moved. That is how potent He is. And when He finally said, “Let there be light,” light appeared, why? Because the Spirit had prepared the way.

When we start having a move of the Spirit then we can start releasing the word of God. That is the correct order. It takes relationship with the Holy Spirit to bring the life of the Spirit to the word for activation and to make it alive. So you've got to have both the word of God and the move of the Spirit and so we begin to understand that now you cannot defeat the devil and live victoriously without the help of God's Spirit. He is the one who's an advocate, He is the defender. When the enemy accuses you, the Holy Spirit stands to defend you and when the Holy Spirit, who is in all places at all times, can stand before the throne and be on the same side with you, the devil is limited because he can only be at one place at a time.

Who is the Holy Spirit?

He is the divine power of God, the Spirit of truth. He is the comforter. He is eternal, meaning He always has been and He always will be. He is omnipresent, which means he is present but He manifests that presence with beings who He has dealings with. He is omnipotent, which means He is all-powerful. More powerful than anything we might be facing.

With this revelation, it simply shows that when we have the Holy Spirit, we carry God inside of us. That is why we can walk with the confidence. It is about knowing Christ in us and who we are in Him.

Move with the Holy Spirit.
